In my Havant & Waterlooville game, I was in the play-offs in my first season and it came up that speculation was rife that I would replace the sacked Wrexham manager. Wrexham were struggling in League 2 - it just seemed strange that in my first year, I would be linked with this job.

Almost done with my second season with Barrow(Conf N) as a Finnish manager. Promoted at the end of the first season, and lying safely in mid table now, and never got any job offers. I tried once to play as an English manager in FM05, and I got some offers after sitting in 3rd place for a few months(Conf S).

I've been linked to a couple of jobs (Conference teams) but have not been offered one.
Did poo in first season with Workington. Doing very well after 27 games with Marine in second season.

I took an 'expected to battle bravely against relegation' conference team to mid-table security after 2/3rds of my first season and was strongly linked in the media to a League One team (nationality English).
Said I wasn;t interested but I assume I could have got the job. Maybe a little unrealistic but I don't really follow the lower leagues IRL so I'm not sure.

Very unrealistic, but then again there actually are former players that take over top tier clubs, for instance a few cases here in Norway. Ex-United defender took over Lyn, and guided them to 3rd place in his first season. It does happen, but then again, we aren't former Premier League players |
