FM06 - Still too easy to get better jobs in England?

Nationality does have a bearing in FM.

Seriously tho, this experiment won't be conclusive. I think nationality always used to have an effect on how easy it is to get jobs; not sure how much that is the case in 06. GQ would be a good place to get answers.

As we all know all teams in England really want a scottish manager to be successful

I've just started my 3rd season with montrose and have so far been offered 3 jobs during this time the first one came in the summer after season 1 I'd just got Montrose promoted through the playoffs and was offered the job at Alloa who had just been relegated to Div3. That seems likely as although Alloa were now a division below me they probably are a bigger club than Montrose. The next two offers both came in january of season two both were from teams stuggling in a better quality league than I was in, namely Queen of the South who were 9th in the first division and Wrexham who were 17th in englands Div3. Both of these offers were only short term contracts until the end of the season with the caveat that if the club avoided relegation I would be awarded a longer deal.

I turned them all down obviously but I have to say that none of these offers have been totally unrealistic unlike in FM05 were I would Probably have been offered lots of SPL jobs by now.

Also interesting to note is that although I also have the Norwegian and Danish leagues running none of the clubs there have ever shown the slightest bit of interest.

Nationality definitely has a bearing on the number of job offers. I now play as Norwegian because of this. Am at the end of season two in Scotland as Norwegian. Have done fairly well, and not gotten a single job offer \o/

Reputation is still on Obscure though, guess that has a bearing as well.

I'm in second season as Northern Irish having guided Gretna to a promotion and challenge cup double but no job offers
