Well, that would be bragging which is also frowned upon, stories belong in FM Stories, and aren't they called just Queens Park? QPR kind of aren't very LLM :p
Not particularly trying to give you a hard time btw.

Heh. I work compressed shifts. Wednesday is the last day I work, and by wednesday night I've done a whole working week. I meant Queens Park But to be fair I'd struggle to get QPR to win the 3rd division anyway.

Dunno about the bragging thing. I can only post if I don't do well?

What I meant was that perhaps some day I'll get some talent at the game, and I'll feel like playing a lower league game for a vast amount of seasons and be eventually successful.. I'm not for one second suggesting it's in any way likely!

Keep at it you'll get there. Have a look around at some of the update threads for motivation. You'll even notice some pride being taken in success (not bragging though, big difference). It's great when you hang on to your job by the skin of your teeth and eventually have some success. And then sometimes, you get sacked!!!!!

Wow...I go out of town for the day and I miss all the excitement.

Halk...good luck with your venture. You aren't the only one who is carp at this and frustrated. In fact, it would seem that most in here almost masochistically thrive on getting sacked. It's almost a rite of passage.

Halk we try to play the game as realistically as possible and that is why advice otr tipping is frowned upon, each of us finds our own way with the game, as the guys have said success isn't measured by promotions and cups alone it is the perseverance of the struggle and the little vicories along the way. My sweetest moments aren't promotions but successful struggles to avoid relegation.

Keep reading the posts and you will get the gist and hopefully grow to love the game like we all do.

I read it as recommending players that turned out good. Since I've never met the word tipping before, exactly how was I supposed to understand it? If it said 'No advice' then it'd be a whole world clearer.

I've seen real roastings, elsewhere, I've been playing online games for a very, very long time. I'm not saying I got a real roasting, but it was a bulletpoint, point scoring flame of me. The only reason for his post was to take mine apart and expose me as some kind of idiot intent on destroying everybody elses fun.
You've never heard advice been referred to as a tip before? Your grasp of the language seems to say your mother tongue was indeed English, therefore I find that hard to believe. And anyone with the slightest deductive reasoning abilities should be able to figure out that with player and tactics naming forbidden, that you could include anything else that might have to do with playing the game.

Sounds to me like you're starting to get the hang of it...

I think a lot of your post was not relevant but sympathise as without the rules, there's no way to tell you're going to get savaged by the natives...

However - there are a whole stack of forums to help with some of your more specific problems. If you're really finding it difficult to sort a tactic, try that forum. If you'd just like some more help in understanding the game - there's a great section on footballmanager.net written by the chap who did the in-game tutorial to help you out.

Good luck.

I personally think the player naming rule needs to be re-written.

I'm totally for no tipping!!! which is why I'm in this forum.
But you can't name even a player that I was refering to in a non-tipping way.

Take Jason the yanks funny quote:Rafa Benitez doesn't ring up Jose Mourinho and ask, "So what should I do to make maximum use of my giraffe striker?"

Now we know who his refering to and, Okay, its funnier written that way but as a quote I can't see that as tipping if JTY named him.

I got wrap for naming a current England captain with a 'Posh' bird for a wife!! Again why can't I name him?

I can't read the rules on it as the link is broken.
