The guidelines indeed state it is a grey area it seems.

Could a mod or veteran LLaMa care to shed his light on this?

It seems that most LLaMa's (including me) say it's a no-no (in England, Germany and other countries where it is not allowed) however the guidelines state it is still a grey area and that only zealots will not use it.

I consider myself to be quite zealous about this so I won't use it, but it seems that it wouldn't be totally fair on aspiring LLaMa's to tell them they can't use them if it's still a grey area in the guidelines.

Or am I misreading/misunderstanding the issue?

The main reason SI introduced the parent/feeder facility was to fix a problem in older versions when trying to get fringe players experience, the loan system in essence was nackered.

From what I can gather there was a considered debate when this element was introduced and the common consenous was that it does not fit in with the ethics of LLM & as such is considered out of bounds.

As is our mantra 'it's your game, play it as you wish' however there are no shades of grey IMO.

This is just my opinion!

A lot of games out there are based on peoples imagination and there is nothing realistic about them but nothing wrong with them either.

Most sports games out there are realistic because they are based on the rules of the profesional sport.

Anyone can play these games in any way they wish but I for one like a game that is designed so that it can be played realisticly. As that is how I will play it.

But other teams in the same division as you use feeder clubs and parent clubs, so does it not put you at a disadvantage by not using one?

Jesus Christ!

SI have ballsed up by allowing Feeder/Parent arrangements in The Home Nations.

It's not realistic.

It's against the LLM ethos being unrealistic.

WE DON'T USE IT.

Need I be more frank that that? (First **** to link that to the LLaMa Frank will be banned).

Yes it does, not the point though.

Chopper: I'm coming across as one of the less friendly responses, but, quite frankly, given the heavy use of the parent/feeder facility and the fact that you have no desire to recant no LLaMa is going to be interested in your update no matter how succinctly you put it. In fact, you leave yourself open to unfriendly posts.

You seem like a decent enough chap though, so come back with a proper LLM save and you'll get wholehearted backing.

If the rules are "grey" then I'm sure they'll be clarified shortly.
