it was a breath of fresh air when fm08 came out and players attributes improved at a good rate in some cases and one particular stat improved possibly at a greater rate than other stats if you know what i mean.
after downloading the beta this has been taken out and no players pace has improved. why take this great new system out, it's ruined a potentially great game i had with qpr.

Maybe you had maxed out their pace prior to getting the patch?

I dont know, but firstly, SI have previously said training is worth up to +5 on attributes, but would pace really be that applicable to this?

If you're slow, you are slow. You're not gonna gain pace a lot of pace, even with sprint training (alá Shevchenko)

i am comparing the pre-patch game to post-patch.
i remember kostadinov's pace went from 17 to 19 in one season pre-patch, dzsudzsak's improved 1 point, and samuel's went crazy with improvement.
no such activity with the patch.
i started the game over with patch to find this out

Just kidding. (I manage Yeading, so I ain't anyone to dish out abuse)

But yeah, I think there's a slight issue with attribute improvement. When I check out 'Attribute History' of a player, there's a definite straight line in the graph pretty much where I installed the patch...

i really like the new method of improvement without the patch, but i need it because otherwise i don't get a renewed contract when i get promoted and they still want me to win the championship, i guess i'll just soldier on with my slow team

There's a large thread about this in the bugs forum. Perhaps anyone having similar issues should post them there, where they're more likely to be adressed as that thread has already had input from one of the internal testers.
