Even in the patch, the closing down isnt totally fixed.

Could be down to the patch, but some tweak in tactic may work too

Just got a new personal favourite. The ball is bouncing down towards my penalty box rather straight infront of the goal. My defender is chasing it and is a few steps infront of the opposition attacker. I'm thinking no sweat my defender will catch that one easily, but what does the idiot do? Simple answer he decides to cut to his right running away from the ball leaving the ball in a perfect position for the opposite striker that is chasing it. Even I who haven't played a single day of organized football know that is an incredible stupid move and that the player should get his head examed to find out if he is actully smart enough to tie his shoelaces.

The lack of control over your defenders has been an issue for me for several editions now. All I want is two options to tell my defenders - 'stay goal side', and 'put your foot through the ball'.

Would solve a lot of problems for me.
