While I was playing the game I saw that Skopjans are called Macedonians inside the game and also they have as fluent language Macedonian!!!
A game that is widely known and in my opinion some people all over the world that don't know anything about history might get confused..
As it is known Macedonia is geograhpically located in North Greece from where Great Alexander started his campaign http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_the_Great
To let you know in ancient Greece, Greece was like U.S with their own states and laws and kings(King of Macedonia, king of Athens, king of Sparta etc.)
Due to a treaty some years ago Skopje renamed as FYROM(Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia).
And that's because the geografical locatian of Scopje which is close to North Greece.
The flag of Skopje is similar to the symbol of ancient Macedonians http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Asteraki/Asteraki
that lived in Greece and also coins of this symbol has been discovered in the Greek territory..
So let's go to our days..
First of all..There is no language called macedonian no matter if the skopjans renamed theirs as macedonian language..
As it is well known in ancient Greece they all used to speak ancient Greek..But in each "state" they used to pronounse words in their own way(a real life example is in Brittain-English,Scotts,Irish,Wales)all speak English but they have their own way to pronounse the words.
Secondly, the Greek government didn't notice that ignoring the rename of Skopje to FYROM will bring problems inside Greece and outside also..They thought this was a minor problem which won't bring any consequences..
But as you can see even in a game that is called Football Manager the Greek history goes the wrong way...
This is not a politic post as you might think but I cannot see some things that are far away from reallity and hurt the Greek history and the knowledge all of people that know the truth and the origin of the word Macedonia..
P.S I have to say also that I don't want to have any disagreement with Skopjans because they will say their own things but I made this post for all the other people all over the world to learn what is the truth and I want an official response from SI developers that decided to include this stuff in game totally ignoring truth and history..

I thought Skopje was the Capital city of FYR of Macedonia.
Are all Maccedonians actually Skopjish?
Was it an independant country before it separated from yugoslavia.
What was the language/dialect of FYROM called before the breakup?

You do realize you were talking about a REGION called Macedonia (which is in Greece), whereas FM deals with COUNTRIES! And there is a country called Republic of Macedonia and its capital is Skopje! What the hell? They are an independent state, how come Greece is in this, in the first place?
And to be very honest, I didn't get your point at all... What are you saying? What should be corrected?

The country we in Britain know as Macedonia has historically never been known as Macedonia. The Greek region of Macedon is where Alexander the Great originated from. When Yugoslavia split up the mainly ethnic Albanians decided to call themselves Macedonia. The greeks complained to the UN, and the argument has rumbled on ever since. I think he his complaining about the fact Macedonia is called Macedonia, because he is Greek.
