Am I missing something. I set-up a substitution and then the game plays on. Fair enough, but then sometimes the opposition score whilst I'm waiting for the change to be made - meaning my instructed substitution makes no sense anymore. In real life, the manager would cancel the substitution. How do I do this in FM08?

Can't cancel the substitution unless you are in the window and press undo last.

That's crazy. In the previous versions, you effectively could - as in you only entered the detailed substitution screen when the ball was out and your sub would be applied.

I have now several times been forced to make a sub that makes no sense i.e. bring on a defender for a striker when I've just lost the lead.
