does anyone take into consideration player morale? eg. if your top striker is low on morale do you drop him? or does it not really make a difference?

like in PRO EVO if a player has a purple down arrow they play poor but a red up arrow they play really well.

same thing in FM? or not really make a difference?

Yes it does make a difference. If you have two strikers and one is top on morale he might play better than the one who is low, ut actually has better stats. You need to make sure your player gains confidence again. I usually drop him for a while, let him play an easy game and make sure he gets a couple of goals.

intresting. ive never really taken much notice of it. i havent even looked to see if ratings have a reflection on morale etc.......

I laugh because, for a while, I thought it had too much effect on performance.

I've changed my mind now - it turns out that Morale in FM has a larger impact on younger players, while older more professional players (also those with high Determination and Work Rate) will give you a strong effort even when their Morale is weak.

My problem was that I was playing a bunch of kids with great potential.. so they'd go on hot streaks and cold streaks according to their Morale. Now I've got a veteran "backbone" for my team, and Morale has become a secondary consideration to me.

in my experience it makes a huge difference. A bad start to a season can have a huge impact as player morale is low. I then find it very difficult to get results from there on in, even if I have the better of the game.

Strikers with low morale are less than useless in my opinion.
