Something that's really worrying me... What am I doing wrong?
I'm currently Man. United, and at the moment, Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo and Owen Hargreaves are all 'worried about the lack of managerial discipline', and are considering their options. But I really don't know what I've done to cause this. I NEVER talk to the media. I avoid them like the plague. That is, except to issue hands-off warnings when someone else expresses an interest in a player of mine. Incidentally, I've only had to issue such warnings about Ronaldo. I don't understand what I've done that makes these players think there's a lack of managerial discipline. In case anyone wonders, I don't comment on controversial moments in matches either.

This has got me thinking... Shouldn't it be possible to find out what is bothering a player? In real life, if a player is unhappy, I'm sure he could be called into the manager's office so he could find out what was wrong. In the game, there must be in incident that triggers off a player's concerns. It might be an idea to be able to ask him. Or maybe you could ask your assistant to find out if there are any issues that are causing players concern, and it would come to light that way.

Yeah as your letting players get away with stuff. Not disciplining your squad.
I do think this is what my problem might be. I've been too worried about antagonising important players to discipline them for getting sent-off. So cheers for this.

Strongly agree - the thing I feel like I've been missing is the ability to have a quiet word with a player, or ask a coach/assistant where he thinks I'm going wrong.
