Right, sorry if I appear arrogant or trying to control the forum but wouldnt it be better for us to all work together on the stadium backgrounds, rather than have several different sources, all incomplete.

I am quite happy to deal with the English ones, I have 2 packs, beefster from this forum made one, TRFC from sortitoutsi made the other.

Plus I have my own personal collection which has over 200 English Stadiums in it. I am currently collating the best picture from each club into one big pack. I am not sure how to turn it into use for FM, maybe an expert on the subject can help.

The cosmetic element is one of the best things about FM, so lets work together to get the best deal possible.

Maybe make this a sticky, so everyone can contribute, it seems silly so many people working so hard when we could work together and make something amazing.

If the consensus is we carry on as we have been, then fine, just let this thread disappear down the forum, after all we've been doing ok so far

Just to update. I have found 272 backgrounds of different english stadiums.

I will keep it seperate to Beefster's as his look special, panoramic views and are numbered for ID purposes, but will upload the best of what I've got tommorow for people to use as they wish

More the merrier indeed - i've not really dipped too much into English lower leagues, probably a dozen or so tops are outside Prem-League 2 - so the TRFC is best for these teams.

In hindsight re-naming all the 570+ picture files from the name/club to the stadium ID was a bit of a schollboy error, as defining which pic relates to which club is a bit tricky for me - and this is my pack ! - I could probably go on mastermind with recognising 95% of the pictures in the pack - but the odd scruffy/blurry shot of some obscure euro stadium is a bit lost in my head - i've been collating these pics and updating them for probably 5 years or so - and every time I find a better picture I update the pack.

it should all come clear when SI sort out the FM07 editor, which for ID clarification is a tad naff at the moment - hence still using FM06's editor to clarify matters - unfortunately, this does mean that newer stadiums (like Alkmaars) aren't in the FM06 database.

I must say, getting good pictures of stadiums from 'less-than-major-clubs' from Brazil/Argentina/Mexico/Norway/Sweden/Scotland/Russia/Romania/Hungary is not easy - so if there's anyone out there......

Beefster-I have downloaded your pack ,they work fine on the english teams but I have various european leagues in small detail but they don't show the stadiums id's when I look at these results (even if I click "back" and go into the result again).Am i doing something wrong??

Lagarr - think the small detail does effect things - I was running UEFA cup on no details and sometimes (not every time) the pictures weren't showing.

basically, until the patch is out I dont think we're going to know how this is all set up -

this in/out process to show pictures is obviously a bit buggy.

Is it possible to swap some of the pictures over between the two packs mentioned above. For example is it possible to transfer the photo of Old Trafford from the English pack into the one made by beefster and replace that picture of Old Trafford.

I have read on here a few times people mentioning replacing phtos of stadiums for one thay have taken themselves.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

could someone with a good understanding of how to get the background pics to work please post a step by step idiots guide to getting them into the game? i've been fine with all the logos but 2 thigs happen when i try to use background images:

1. nothing
2. the grass disappears and leaves a black background

I have swapped some backgrounds around,the way i did it was (there may be a better way??)
copy the photo you want into the file you are running,then delete the photo you do not need (remember to get the file name/number!) Rename your newly moved file to the same name as the one you have deleted.Reboot game and it should work.
Hope this is (reasonably) clear.

Here is the best of my own collection, and TRFC's pack.

You may have to resize/rename but there should be some better quality ones in here. There's one of each ground that I cvould get - ranging from Old Trafford (Man U) to Watchet Lane (Holmer Green)
