I'm looking to swap MLS with the Finnish league as it appears it is the only playable league with 13 teams (this will allow for Toronto FC to be added). How would this affect the nationalities of the players and the cup competitions?

If you swap it all properly, TLA's included nationalities and cup comps should all run fine. Let us know how you get on please? :thup:

However, I tried it for the 2007 season, only to find that Finland is expanding to 14 clubs! I wonder if they might be able to accomodate MLS expansion on the next patch.

didnt the patch allow us to add teams?? So wouldnt we be able to add Toronto FC without damaging the game or am I being stupid??

mdewals, I added a created team to MLS, and I was able to play in the reserves and US Open Cup, but not actual league games. I was also able to partcipate in the draft and all that good stuff. I stopped before the 2nd(2007) season....I'll load it up and see what happens for 07. Otav, you can always just add a 14th team and have fun with it.

With the nationalitys, Did you change them around?
As in did you keep the MLS teams american and the finnish league finnish?

Any chance you can upload this? I've been wanting to add Toronto but I didn't have the time to swap the MLS with another league.

what I did to swap was just a test to see if it worked (I deleted the database)
I'm going to update until the season gets close (or another patch comes out)
Toronto can't compete with only 10 players

Toronto FC was added with the patch, but its basically an empty club
you have to enter all the information (competition, players, management, kits, etc.)

It won't work if you just add them to MLS because the league can only hold 12 clubs

All I did was:
I went to the MLS competition page (has the list of all clubs)
highlighted a specific club, and selected the 'swap' button near the bottom of the editor
then I chose a Finnish club
I repeated this until both leagues were swapped

as for the US Open Cup, that poses another problem because Toronto is based in Canada, and therefore is not allowed to participate in the competition
im sure this situation comes up in the UK as well (I dont follow UK football so im not sure how it works in the game), so some of you know more about this than I do
