I tried to use the reporter today, and it crashed while unpacking the staff data.

I followed the instructions in the debug.txt document and managed to identify the broken line and then skip it, so I no longer get an error, but the tool doesn't seem to output anything.

Sorry, the tool does output something. In the html folder is a firstnames.html, secondnames.html and nicknames.html. However these files do not display correctly in Internet explorer. The page just says "First Names Found : 29532" and nothing else. (note, I just made that number up.)

If I run one of the other .exe files (it had xml in the filename, but i forget the rest) I can make it produce more html file, as well as some text files but they are all completely empty.

I have edited the fmweb.cfg file and told it to output players from my club using the club's ID. I have left the default player ID's in as well, and I have even un-commented the dumpclubs bit as well to see if that makes a difference, but no luck. I can't seem to get it to report anything.

Can you help?

Has anyone actually gotten this to work? I get to unpacking and it stops at the part where it says nations: 230 or something like that. Doesn't matter what savegame I use or whether it's just a plain old new game.

All I want is to get written match reports like those above, how is that possible?

Sorry, I know this, I'm not in a position to upload a save yet at the moment either. My question was simply thus; Has anyone got it to actually work and finally how would one go about getting the match reports like you have pasted above?

When I get the chance I'll give you a savegame tonight or tommorow.

I know for sure of someone using my tool successfully.

He sent me a savegame, and that was the reason for me releasing the second BETA.

If the last message of the tool is not Done than the tool crashes at some point, and I need to release a new version after I analyzed the savegame.

As about the match report tool....

1) there is a folder containing fm2007 panels near the tool and a readme.txt - make sure you do what is written in it - thus enabling printing for the match overview screen.
2) after the match, print as RTF (third option after selecting print) the following panels:
- overview
- match stats
- report
- home stats
- home away
- table (if applicable)
3) launch the matchreport.exe
4) type the name of the files (with full path) in the edit boxes at the top of the tools
5) press generate on the tool
