If you reset the User Data Folder in the game to default it should pick up the databases saved by the editor. You could also change the User Data Folder in the editor to be the same as in the game, that way any new databases will be saved to the correct folder, all though it won't find the databases you have already saved unless you manually move them to the new location.

You can only specify a name because the databases needs to be in a specific folder for the game to be able to find them, so the editor will make sure to put the database in the correct place, as long as you haven't changed the User Data Folder in either the game or the editor.

i start a new game and i select the db that i wana use were i giv myself more money but it dont give me the money i have in the db that i have in the editor

i also cant load up my edited db. i just dont get the option to choose which db i want to load.

i havent moved any folders about so they should be in thier default location

Im having the same problem!

I took the wizard off but when i click start new game it automatically loads the default database!

This is seriously gay, I try to alter the db so I can get a good financial budget, I got the transfer fund sorted but then the balance is all wrong.

Annoying.
