It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

For example, watching Milan the other night, the 4 midfielders (Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Ambrossini) all popped up everywhere on the pitch - central, wide, dm, etc. However they all played their own role, just in different areas of the pitch.

Also, say in a 4-3-3 formation, an option which allows the AMR/L's to swap to AMC's, where no other player may necessary play. Sarrows kinda do this job but it's not very clear.

This is another case of the manual being just damn awful. It must be impossible to do well at this game without visiting these or similar forums, where you actually find out what everything really means, and there are still debates though as to what eveything does.
i'd have to agree that a choice as to whether they swap instructions as well as positions would be a nice touch.

as to the manual... i'm ashamed to admit i've never read it.

the player instructions apply to the position on the pitch

so, if you swap 2 players in the PKD list you swap the only the position of the players, not the instructions

and if you swap the players on the pitch area you swap the instructions also
after another test to see if that is really the case... i find out i have been living a lie

it is not like that at all..

when you swap the players on the pitch area it does NOT swap the instructions... thunders :o

With the quality of the writing in it, you're probably at an advantage because of it.
