Hi there I just got beat by Wigan and i'm Arsenal . At full time i noticed in the stats that my team had only won 12% of the headers.

If i had noticed this earlier what could i have done to start winning some headers. Would upping Closing Down help. ?

I think the key is to keep the ball on the ground, since your team are obviously not the best aerially. More strength practice in training could probably help.

The other possibility is that you're not going in for many headers, or the ones you are going in for are unwinnable. Check your stats and see who is missing the most, and check the AI and see who won most for them. Crucially, check how many headers you attempted, and how many they did.

If there's a big discrepency, try tight marking their taller players with your tallest players, and perhaps play the ball on the deck more. You may be right in upping your closing down, as this should produce more aerial contests.

OK one thing i don't get...Just beat Everton and I won 72% of headers , Everton won 64 %.??

I would of presumed it should be a 100 % split. Unless i'm missing something?

thinking about it, you're right it should be opposites! they should have won 28% that's weird! i can't think how they can have 64%!....

No. I could win a header with no body anywhere near me. Heders attempted by me - 1. Headers converted - 1. Headers attempted by the opposition - 0...

Not all headers are contested, therefore the totals will not be 100% (+/- 1%). The same for tackle completion.

actually what you are saying is what i am saying, if what you said happened then team a would be 100% and team b would be 0% wouldn't they?
