Which patch will let you play the game with the least amount of tactical tweaking? E.g is easier to play.. if this is the case at all anyway, as I've heard people say 7.02 is harder than the original. Please help

There is no evidence that will confirm that any changes made to the match engine in the 2 patches have affected the perceived level of difficulty. Personally I have found 7.0.2 fine as long as you are prepared to put a bit of work into your tactics. Read the top tactical threads in the Unofficial Tactics Bible thread at the top for help.
