Hey guys on FM2007 I got Hull City promoted automatically to the Premiership in my first season with the regular 442 defensive tactic...

I was hailed as a Hero by the chairman and Ex-players.

Now in the Premiership I've played 7 games losing 5 and 2 draws at home conceding 14 goals now my job is insecure, I need to turn this around so any ideas or tactics for poor teams to survive in the Premiership in the first season of promotion ?

My job remained safe in the second season despite me finishing rock bottom of the Prem with only 15 pts. I was still given 15m the following season.

A good place to start is with the basics, I know some of the stuff here is a long read, but once you understand it making tactics is a cinch

Try reading the bible thread's first post with the eyes of someone who doesn't know how to play the tactics game. It's amazingly daunting.

I've spent the last three days playing the same half season over and over, and the end result is always the same.

This season I set things out like I would as a real manager. Brought in fast good defenders and strikers. Skilful and quick wingers who also work hard, and a couple of all-round central midfielders. Used the pre-set individual settings for each position with the odd tweak here or there. Every time I tweak things go well. For a game, or sometimes only a half. Then, like the Borg, the AI adapts. The last game I played I went 2-1 up. The next highlight starts and "xxxxxx have changed formation....GOAL". Then with the last kick they win. Ahead twice and still lose. On top, then under the cosh. The AI is just too good.
