I disagree slightly completely.

I sometimes use the "find player" function to track down previous players (current save ofc!) of me as I'm too lazy to go transfers/history etc or to shortlist and click then.

"player search" for finding players who you want to attract is a big NO-NO!. Scouts are the only way. I can live with use of the "player search" for finding emergency loanies but only in the first months of your save. After that your scouts should have build a shortlist.

Valid points. The only time I've ever used the "find player" is when Norwich sign someone IRL who I haven't heard of and I want to find out something about him

Why? It's going to be a left fullback anyway.

They really need a left-sided sweeper anyway.

Do not confuse the "player search" with the "find player" function. While the "find player" one is a definite no (it's also called quicksearch, I believe), the player search can be used under certain circumstances:

.) having your assmin filter unrealistic players out
.) filtering only for transfer listed players.

Still, those players should still get assessed by your scouts first. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Ian just blazed me for not realizing that this part of the guidelines was ironic. Or do you make a distinction between searching for transfer listed players and recently released players?
I think the scouts are good enough now to find players for you so surely the use of the search screen should be strictly avoided.

If that's what you'd like to call playing &lt;old, short, ex-Bolton DL&gt; in MC, then the gaffer is doing it already.

Because I have similar question to the one the thread founder had I decided to write in this topic ( I dont want to start new thread).
I am still awaiting for my game ( it will be released in Poland today) when I will have it I am planning to start managing Cambridge City in Conference South. Is this club considered a LLM club and what are general rules to be LLManager .(Sticky topic is not there at the moment).
From what I found reading so far I see that you cannot sign uscouted players, you cannot name players , you cannot use unofficial addons (database, graphics can be moded I hope... I mean shirts, pictures, skins), you cannot post your progress untill carrier is at least 3 seasons long. What are the other rules that I maybe missed ? Thanks for the answers and sorry for not so good english.

Hi Benito,

Don't apologise for your english, its better than my polish.

Conf South is lowest playable in England so I would think Cambridge City is fine to start with.

We don't use editors (wash mouth out) other than official patches. It has been found they can destabilse the game over long careers.

We scout all players, we also use the Scout your borders and Scout Where you can tour guidelines to make it realistic eg Cambridge could scout within the UK and Ireland but wouldn't be going further abroard until you got a couple of promotions under your belt due to the financial constraints.

Every thing else yuou have said sounds accurate.

Welcome aboard and hope you enjoy LLM I'm sure we will look forward to your update after 3 seasons.

Benito

A couple of other things no tactic naming or bragging, fine to celebrate a promotion in your update but don't go over board.

I will let you make up your own mind as to whether Cups Suck Arse or not.
