After 13 game months with Elgin, I have a couple impressions for LLM:
- Scouting returns are... odd. I won't say broken. I tell my chaps to scout Scotland, I get dozens, maybe hundreds of players scouted. I tell them to scout the Third Division, I get four. What gives? My current workaround is just to keep scouting Scotland.
- Scouting recommendations also seemed a touch off. When I first started with Elgin, every player scouted was rated 5 stars / excellent signing. Now I know Elgin's bad, but not they're not worse than every bloke in Scotland. It seems to have corrected itself by my second season.
- Training rocks. I really like this module. It gives feedback and is easy to understand. The defaults are acceptable, but it rewards you for tinkering with it. It handles new acquisitions & injuries fine, so I only feel the need to touch it once or twice per year.
- The game plays fast. I love it. It's a combination of things: Easier access to stock & saved tactics make games go faster. Improved navigation between my shortlist, scouts & player search (I have it permanently set to transfer listed realistic targets - which means there's crap available

). Partly, I did myself a favor by limiting the active leagues to Scotland-only. Even with a huge database, it crunches games in no time.
