So far I'm impressed by the game, might have something to do with me not getting FM2005 though. A huge leap since CM03/04.

It seems to be much more difficult to stay in a league once you get promoted, at least if friendlies and cup matches is anything to count on. Just got trumped 10-0 away to Celtic. In previous incarnations you _could_ get away with a decent result. Seems harder here now, which is a good thing.

Have to say I'm having more fun LLMing on 06 than ever. Managing Fyllingen (norw 2nd div), the team I played for (actually, the team I totally and utterly sucked for) back when I was a kid, fielding some of my old schoolmates who still play there.
Training is sweet, I hated the 05-setup, it was way too time consuming for a control freak like myself. The team-talks are also nice, cool to show your true colors when they are totally slacking in larger-than-life derbies.
Only played 6 league games so far, and seems realistic to me: All the matches are poor, my defenders have all scored own goals, they whine when I put pressure on them, and I have no money whatsoever.
Should be a nice update thread in a couple of weeks time.

Greetings,

I've started a game in div2 with rushden. You get no money at all (100,000 in debt) small stadium and not the best facilities. I'm currently bottom after 18 games. I've won 2, drawn 2 and lost the rest. Brought a couple of loans in but still can't seem to get right matchday. Still searching for the right combination, player/tactic wise. It's annoying and it's really testing me but I'll get there eventually.

Congratulations Old Scouser, but I think you'll realise soon enough that by LLM we refer to the lowest available league.

Thus, if you start in Poofland it's the Conf N/S that matters and not the mighty heights of League 2.

Sorry to bust your bubble, but League 2 and Rushden in particular ain't LLM.

Except, Kostis, the thing that made Rushden Ru$hden is no longer there. So we can only moan about the League 2 part.

I love starting LLM. Everytime i've gone a team in the top flight, even near top (ie Championship) Im soon bored near the end of the season.

Currently enjoying my season. First at Cefn Druids in WPL, then onto Sutton in the Conf/South.

I found i was crap at first, but soon after spending time in tactics, getting the most of of the players atributes and setting the tactcs to the players i found stringing a few draws, then wins started to come!

Just takes time
