I use both of the methods mentioned above. I try to use the playere I have given in the best tactical fit and when that fails, I shoehorn the players plus anyone that joins into my favourite style of play. When that fails as well I curse and swear until my players start to win a few games when I congratulate myself on my astuteness as a manager and life goes on merrily.

I just send the buggers out onto the pitch by telling them to score more goals than the opposition.

End of season and Chester got promotion on the last day of the season. Also wrapped up the FA Trophy. I don't think it'll be so easy in division 3.

Divison 3; Board expectations="Battle bravely against relegation".

Naturally, I hope to do a little better than that. A couple of Bosmans have come in, (including a striker from Birmingham who likes to pull down his shorts and show his arse ) but I still have next to nothing to spend on players.

We will see....

A surprising (but welcome) run of form saw W-D-L figures of 7-6-6 become 17-6-6 :cool: (now 17-7-7) and mid-table obscurity become a promotion spot. Still 10 points off Carlisle mind you.

With 15 games to go I'm still hopeful of a spot somewhere in the top 7 (please God top 3!).

In the midst of great league form, Chester's cup form has been interesting; defeat to Northwich Vics in the 1st round of the LDV, but a home victory over 6th in the EPL Sunderland in the 4th round of the FA Cup. This was followed up by a 2-1 away defeat to Luton in the next round (1-0 up with 15 minutes to go and then one of my midfielders gets sent off )

It's funny, cos I'm Newport born and Chepstow bred, but I don't rememer any reciprocating rule in Chepstow (I lived there until I went to uni in Cardiff). Mind you, if we'd shot all the Englishmen we would have halved the population of the town
