Default Job Centre Vs Search

What do you use in order to bring in new staff? The job centre or the search button?

If I remember correctly when I put for the team to put an advert to get all of the type of staff it costs the club about 6-7K. It seems that continuing the advert does not cost more money though. I am starting to think that I am going to stop using the job centre with small clubs.

Can I put it in the papers? I am sure it would cost less even if I had it going for one year there...

If you stick with the Job Centre, you will get some unemployed applicants. That's certainly been my experience, anyway...

It seems to work. Well, for the UK, anyway. I can't verify how well it works for other leagues.

I know that it works. I find it unrealistic for a club of a small size to spend 1K just to search to find a staff member.

It would have been more reasonable to pay 50 pounds per month to have the advert on.

The job centre is certainly better in 06 for the UK; not flooded with foreigners. At least, it identified a number of unemployed scouts. I still had to resort to search to find any free coaches.

Eh, for 50 pounds you can maybe hire a highschool student to put flyers on the walls of local supermarkets.

For 50 pounds you could also put a small advert into one of the big newspapers for about 3 months. (At least in my country)

National newspapers charge in the tens of thousands for a decent side advert

We recently placed an advert in our local English newspaper, the Ponte and Castleford Express, in their jobs section which comes out once a week to 25,129 (ABC Circulation figures) homes.

For an 11cm x 4cm advert, it costs £1,436.60.

I don't think the SI figures are unrealistic at all.

Can't argue with that level of detailed research can you!
