My problem with the job centre in FM06, is that all the applicants demand at least three times the maximum the board will allow me to give them, and never accept my maximum possible offer.
If I was going to advertise a low paid job, i'd at least put the wage range in the ad.

"Part-time football coach required, experience is a must. Desirable to be good with youngsters, own own car and be prepared to wash the kit and give youth team players lifts to training and to their JobCentre Plus meetings. GSOH would be an advantage. Wages £25 to £100 per week depending on experience. Please ring Mavis in Personel between 7pm and 8pm Tuesdays and Thursdays"

Valid comment Adz. I find that two thirds or more of the candidates first time round wanted more than I could afford. Got a bit better second month, but it's still an issue.

I'm having a lot of trouble attracting unemployed staff. Contracts are usually from the 200-mark upwards, which means it'll cost to get them. Don't have a problem with the quality of them, that is usually not too bad, but when hardly ever an unemployed guy applies, it's hard to get anywhere with it.

I only run them about 4 weeks at a time, as it seems to costs quite a bit. Do unemployeds usually apply late in the process, or what's up here?

It's starting to get quite annoying to lose decent coaches for scraps, and not find much to replace them with. Just lost another one now

This summer I've run scout and coach ads for four weeks. 3 out of 25 coaches were unemployed, and none of about 20 scouts were unemployed

I meant the applicants, not who I've signed. I can't afford to sign most of the unemployed ones, much less the ones that already have a job.
