Default Getting the Shire out of the mire

Seeing as my Woking save decided to not load, I have decided to start afresh.

Database size : Huge
Leagues Active:English Conference N/S and above
Scotland Division 3 and above
Spain Division 2/B and above
Austrailian League

After looking at the league tables for Poofland and Jockland, I choose probably the biggest challenge you could, and took the reigns at....

East Stirlingshire

A quick view of the team showed I had a tough few years ahead...
7,000 GBP in the bank
NO transfer funds
wage budget of 1300GBP
Squad of 22 players.

The board doesn't seem to have much faith in the team, asking me to "Invest and rebuild the squad", a sentiment shared by the fans.
The bookies have more faith in me, with the reasonable odds of 5000-1 for promotion.

My aim - not to finish bottom and get more than the dozen or so points they got IRL last season.

Sorry - slightly off topic but how come so many people's save games seem to go t*ts up? I've been playing CM/FM for years and never had it happen - is it just me who has a hard drive made of granite??

But anyway!!

GL!

For the record I have had more than my fair share of save game issues, hence so many fresh starts!

Anyway, not to hijack Fids thread - Good luck, it sounds like you will be needing it!

I also forgot to add the media comment for my odds.
Along the lines of "More chance of Satan going to work on ice skates"

Oh, and for those that don't know what division they're in, it's the Scottish 3rd

My games have been known to go t*ts up, usually concerning the update between when UEFA cup games are plyed on a Thurs and the Sat 12:00 pre game news. I've had 3 games destroy themselves at this stage. However I haven't had this occur since patching it.

In season 2003-4 East Stirlingshire got 8 points from 36 games, 2 wins 2 draws and 32 defeats.

Are you sure you can live up to those expectations.

They also have a set wage of £10 for all players, can't remember if thats per week or per month.

Your local Rivals are Falkirk (East Stirling play in Falkirk) and nearby Stenhousemuir.

who needs Ian
