That would explain the fact that while in some games they can loan a guy from the Premiership and sign some great players on great wages on a free but not buy any new ones.
on my game they only made free transfers in first season. Obviously they get rewarded with promotion winnings cupr uns etc.

You named him twice, actually. The occasional transgression will be overlooked, but don't quote your mistake.

And you named the E-word

Anyway, if they're in the same position as the rest of the teams, but with that wage budget, their economy should be down the toilet after a few seasons. 14k a week is usually more than I make in a month

Weymouth are, as far as I'm aware, a club attempting to get league status in the same way that Rushden did - but without spending all the money on players. They are attempting to bring a professional structure in, with a proper coaching structure and allowing high wages to attract bigger names for the division : hence the appointment of a certain 39-year old super striker who now plies his trade for the Bantams.

However, I think they've found it harder than it is in FM.

This is just something that I remember hearing somewhere - I can't be arsed to do my usual research...

Glad I looked in this thread.. I've just recieved a pounding at the hands of 11 Weymouth lads, when the bookies had me as favorites. Know I now that odds aren't eveything, but I was kinda peeved at the drubbing I'd just taken.

This thread makes me feel better. (a little warm and fuzzy.)

In my current game Weymouth got to League Two in two years. How much the wages have risen the last years I don't know, but it gotta be at least 20k now. Four people above 1k.

I stand by my original verdict.
