My scouts are recommending lousy footballers that I wouldn't even get them for the reserves.

Those that are decent enough are usually those that newly signed at their clubs and since I have no transfer money I can not sign them or buy them for free.

Basically the same here. The quality they find, aren't interested in joining. And those who are interested, are so crap, they shouldn't be allowed to call themselves footballers

my solitary scout at Moor Green has so far turned up just one player in three months of searching not good

Just got the one scouring Iceland at the moment and he's finding a shed load of players whom he seems think are good or excellent. He's wrong but you can't blame him for trying when he knows we can't yet field a full team and subs bench!

My 2 scouts at FC Emmen started of good, finding a nice couple of players. Then after october it stopped, not a single player found untill end of may, then all of a sudden they started to find players again. Good thing, 90% of the found players just signed at their new clubs :thup:

Gotta say, my scout has found me a lot of gems. 5-6 of the "good" signings are first team regulars, all of the "excellent" signings are proving to be just that. My scout has got crappy stats, but he's really performing, and is maybe my most important employee. Seems to me like scouting really works in 06 - or am I just lucky?

After finishing the first season (still in the same league) my scouts started recommending good players. I managed to get 2 strikers, 1 goalkeeper and 2 wingers!!!

Couple of things to note:

I signed a new scout, and as soon as I sent him off, my first scout decided to stop finding any players I've just reassigned him to see if he'll start again. Anyone else had this?

SWYCT - I'm a bit concerned. I had a check yesterday, and as a frankly pretty hard up Serie C2/C side, I can tour a surprisingly large area, including Holland, Belgium France and Germany. I'm not sure how realistic this is.

I've experienced the same with my scout, Julian. I send him out, he reports back every day (mostly dross, though) and then just ... stops. You reassign, and he starts again.
