We've just been promoted to the SPL (\o/)

Enough bragging, the point is...just before we clinched promotion I thought we'd better apply for a Stadium (that's a laugh, you've seen my pics of Firs Park) upgrade for the assault on the SPL, given that there's a 6000 seat requirement for admission.

The Board agreed (where the seats were going to be built God only knows, unless the Falkirk Council sanction the demolition of the flats behind Firs Park, demolish Comet, or close the road behind the main "Stand".

There's absolutely no room for expansion.

Therefore Firs Park will have another 1000 seats, making a 1300 seat stand, and meanwhile we'll share with Junior Club Camelon at Carsmuir Park where they have NO seats, but a 3000 capacity...are you with me so far.

That's it, I thought, another season in Division 1, a la Falkirk...but no.

We're granted admission to the SPL in a 3000 standing room ground, with the promise of a 1300 seater stand at Firs Park in 6 months.

Will they throw us out the SPL?

I had this relocation under FM05. We never returned to our original stadium. :s

What fresh hell is this? Interesting - I'll be well interested to hear how this pans out.

Must start a game in Scotland at some point to get caught up in this sort of wackiness.

As a sidenote, I wasn't TOO upset about the Falkirk nonsense, 'cos it meant that The 'Well stayed up!

Doesn't look like there are minimum requirements in place. I got up with Stenhousemuir, and we only have about 3800 capacity with 626 seats.

Update:

November 28th, date of completion of Stadium upgrade, and an announcement that the work has been completed, the seats are in situ, and Firs Park now has a 1245 seater stand.

We play the next three games away, next home games's against Killie...and it's at Carsmuir Park.
