A long time back I started an update thread with Fisher Atheletic which was only notable for how boring it was. For this reason, and the fact that time pressures meant that gameplay slowed to a crawl, I abandoned it around the ninth or tenth season in. I've lurked occasionally, especially to follow opinions on FM08 & Nobby's updates (he seems to have decided to offer an FM by proxy service instead). Anyway, hoping that popping in just to ask a question isn't seen as extracting the urine.
Not to brag but sod's law dictated that after another couple of seasons in L2 we suddenly took off to stratospheric success. In the Premiership I rapidly got bored, resigned and took my enhanced reputation to CN relegation candidates Stalybridge Celtic.
To keep it short; in season 23/24, I played one of my most satisfying matchday games ever against Halifax, one of those teams who always seem to beat me comprehensively at this level. Despite being mostly outplayed, we came back from 1-0 & 2-1 for a fighting 2-2 away draw. Commentary credits half-time team talk.
Anyway, to Teamtalk page: congratulations all round & hit Confirm. Game doesn't roll over and I'm still looking at the Teamtalk page with the Confirm, Cancel etc buttons all greyed-out. Hit Continue button & on messages page it turns out we
lost 2-1, Halifax were worth their win and I've been robbed of what may have been our result of the season. Anyone else ever had this happen and if so, is it likely to become a habit?
