The fact that you keep bringing this up proves how serious the problems are with FM08. As you keep repeating this mantra over and over again, you're doing so in response to countless postings from outraged customers. Your continual postings in this context reinforce the fact that there were massive flaws in the game, otherwise there would be no need for your attempts to put the blame on customers. Interestingly, your postings imply that if more users had tried the demo, they would have found the flaws and elected not to purchase the product.
Also, you fail to acknowledge the fact that the vast majority of software purchases are made based on marketing, packaging, past experience with a game series, and decisions made in the shops. It is the exception and not the rule for consumers to try demos before buying a game. After all, demos are largely worthless anyway, because they're always limited in scope and can never represent a game in its full form.
It's absolutely unrealistic to expect some sudden change in global consumer behavior such that everyone starts trying demos before buying games. It just doesn't work that way, and there are still MANY people who don't have quality internet connections and therefore cannot download large files very easily.
Sadly, you can't simply admit the obvious, which is that there are hundreds and probably thousands of customers who are outraged with this release, whether there was a demo available or not.
Instead of acknowledging the facts of the situation, you show your true colours as someone connected with SI, and you keep trying to put the blame on the customer.
That runs counter to the very foundation of sales and customer support throughout the world. You NEVER assume that the customer is at fault or is to blame. You ALWAYS assume that the customer is right, and you ALWAYS do your best to correct the problem. Anything else is absolutely unprofessional and is bad business.
Regardless, no one on these forums is fooled. You cannot deny the postings that have been made. You can't wish them away with excuses or attempts at deflection. You can't hide them behind talk about a demo. Reality comes through, despite the smokescreen that apologists try to generate. </BLOCKQUOTE>
