Petty issues aside, such as super keepers or unrealistic scorelines (only a small percentage experience/whinge about that). The big bugs such as stadium expansion and closing down, as well as youngsters hitting their potential in 1 season are unacceptable bugs. Unacceptable to be included in the retail release, it's OBVIOUS there was a muckup by Si here. Unfortunately since they have a monopoly on the genre, there's little we consumers have to do about it but sit and wait for a patch.

While i don't think these threads are very helpful (im returning this game, FM08 is a major letdown, etc), i won't "side" with SI either until they can pull it together. There's nothing we can do now, they're not going to compensate us, there's nothing we can do but wait for the patch. But I hope next year won't be a repeat, and SI should get their priorities straight.

You feel robbed? I feel violated. The psychological damage FM08's crappiness has caused to me is substantial. I asked my lawyer whether I had a case against S.I. and after he extensively researched British law he came back to me with 'Go for it!'.

On top of that, FM causes children to die. This game is a disgrace. We should all start a petition to ban it.

I'm sick of seeing posts about how bugs are simply a fact of life in software. MASSIVE BUGS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.

I don't care if 100% of all other games contain massive bugs (which they don't). Do you want to be like the worst developers, or do you actually want to produce a quality product?

I defy any of the apologists here to declare to us that massive bugs are acceptable in a product. Do you sincerely believe that software should be like this? Are you telling us that this is the ideal that SI is striving to achieve? Is the ideal a piece of software with massive bugs? Is that just 'how it is' in software?

You can't do any better than this? You're utterly impotent to do anything different?

If things were acceptable based on them being commonplace or 'the way of the world', then we would still have slavery, polygamy, and a society that overwhelmingly embraces racial and gender discrimination.

No self respecting store would give you your money back because you didn't like a game. Getting a refund is not an option in most cases. They're not obliged to refund you unless your copy is faulty and they have no more in stock, even then it only has to be store credit.

Dude I'm as upset as anyone about the quality of this years release, but to be fair that's quite a drastic comparison.

How about instead of trying to expose a particular poster in ridicule, Mr Ackter, you be a little more constructive or respond to my posts?

Meanwhile you lack the courage to answer the fundamental questions in that posting.

You have absolutely no argument to refute my point. If prevalence was an excuse for acceptability, then we would still have slavery throughout the world.

How about an answer Ackter? You're pretty much the top apologist for SI, so I will ask again.

Do you want SI to be like other developers that release products with massive bugs? Do you believe that the prevalence of poor QA in the software industry means that SI cannot do any better than to release a game with massive bugs?

Do you sincerely believe that software should be like this? Are you telling us that this is the ideal that SI is striving to achieve? Is that just 'how it is' in software?

Is SI utterly impotent and simply no better than the bad developers in the software industry?

Show some actual courage and give us an answer. My guess is that you'll resort to further personal attacks and insults. Or you will simply repeat your mantras again?

I agree with this title! I do feel robed! I been playing this game back to 2000 and this has to be the worst one ever! Stickers missing chances right in front of goal with it open, defenders not running to the ball, if you put the tackles on hard you get 2-3 players sent off a game, goalkeepers let everything threw, defensive midfielders don't tackle etc etc etc etc! On an in running game during a match it's too many things per game! Fair enough it does have some realistic good additions to the game but if the match engine is messed up they might have as well just sent an old Fm out it would probably do better than this one. I am really disappointed with this game! Am starting not to care if a patch is going to came out or not, because I paid £25 or whatever it was for a game that compared to last season should be in the crapper! I think next year I will defiantly not buy this game! Maybe play it at a friend’s house. I am thinking of switching into Fifa manager or the big competitors CM apparently they are putting together a proper game for this year were it seems to be realistic and they improved their features as swell, you can now do multiplayer’s online and on the same pc!

Really disapointed! Any body else with me?! Couple of friends of mine agree with me the game is not realistic any more!
