Does anyone else think this wouldn't actually be a bad addition to FM? It would be quite interesting and maybe then FM would appeal to girls a bit more too. Also every now and again a lower league manager may get offered a job in the women's game.

Why not? there is plenty of females that play FM that aren't represented. Also, the recent womens world cup was televised and speaking as a guy I quite enjoyed it so I wouldn't be bothered if this option were included.

Maybe an option to use women instead of non-real players with some women facegens.

im actually annoyed how many times it has come up, and i think its pathetic i mean seriously women and football?? you think they go together well?? especially on a game NOOO i would never play fm again, its the only thing i do to get aay from them!

It is attitudes like that, that suck. We are both of the same species so why be so offended?
The fact you would never play FM again is frankly laughable.

Womens football is one of the fasting growing sports in England. Women are currently under represented. The Media has started to pay more attention to the game such as televising the major events. Of course in some aspects the game has a way to go however I quite enjoyed watching the televised football when it was on.

Sadly the problem here would be research and the degree of interest. However if it was ever possible to implement, I could see users getting enjoyment from it. I'm not sure of the viability of running Womens and Mens leagues side by side however. (Thinking of coding and such).
