How would the addition of women's football integrate with the current FM?

I don't see any reason women's football should be added, for two reasons.

1. The two don't mix at all in real football.
2. The fan base is incredably small. I went to Birmingham v Everton in the Women's Premier League last season, and there can't have been more than 100 people there (played at Valley Stadium, Redditch). My local non league team, Newcastle Town get on average 150 attending, and they are in the 9th tier of the men's game.

I'd be happy if I had a choice to make my manager character female, then I wouldn't have to make up male characters because to have my real name referred to as a "he" is a bit of an immersion breaker.

Yeah I totally agree. It isn't like there aren't female staff in the game already so I don't see the hardship. I know it might hurt realism but really no more and a totally unknown getting charge of chelsea or arsenal and the likes. And actually it could be optional for people to use it.

Yep, I mean in Football Manager Live you can be female, it's just a tickbox and a bit of work in the language files - why can't they integrate it into FM in the future?
