For FM09 could we please have a break even attendance figure at the start of the season so that I avoid the circumstances that I have been in for most of my Rushden game:
At the start of the 13/14 season I told the board I could win League 2 and they gave me a budget of 42k p/w and no transfer budget. I sold 4600 season tickets, the previous season I sold 2500 season tickets and got into the playoffs. I made £600k out of the season tickets and all throughout the season I was £3k under my wage budget and I had an average att. figure at the end of the season of 6100 (The stadium holds 6441) and got to the 4th round of the FA Cup with sell-outs against Millwall and Spurs which both made record amounts of cash. But still I finished the season with the balance -£50k before the player bonuses. Why is this?
So my suggestion for the next edition is when you are asked for you level of ambition for the season the board tell you a break even figure, e.g:
You have said you think you can win the league. The board are prepared to give you £??k p/w and £?? transfer budget. For this level of wage budget you will need to attract attendances around ????. This will mean the club will break even financially.
Another annoyance is the match engine, which doesn't seem to use the new RL rule of only being offside if you interfering with play, could this please be patched or included in the next version because its very annoying.
