tres, tres, tres interesting! I'm assuming that you re-booted after your installation? Otherwise, I haven't a clue! [confused]

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see how you make out... it's no consolation or solution (sorry Bob) but stranger things have been known to happen...

Bob that IS strange... but not altogether surprising though...

If you have the CD, you should be able to finf them on there in one of the "Goodies" folders. And if not there, then let me know and i'll send you mine. What version is it? 6 or 7?

That means you'll be getting all my 'custom' ones too... oh well... guess you'll just have to live with that... poor poor Bob... [excited]

My question Bob is; what Operating system do you have?
I did some research on the internet but couldn't find that many people with the same problem and solutions for it are even harder to find.

Is Photoshop installed on NTFS? Shouldn't be a problem, because I do that too, but it could mean that the file permissions of the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Plug-Ins\Filters\Lighting Styles folder are screwed up, or the permissions of a folder at a higher level. Check that folder too to see if it contains any styles. If you're ever planning to use permission or encryption on a partition/folder/file; don't do it on the system partition, because you will be asking for trouble.
Maybe it's interesting to know why you reinstalled PS and all other facts that might be important, even if they don't seem to be related to this issue.

Now that's a bummer Sue and a PITN! Maybe PS didn't like being left abandoned?
Oddly enough, I've experienced the same thing...

We're waiting for your lighting styles Rick!
