Lately my strikers have been passing the ball back to the midfielders when they're one on one with the GK. There's also lots of players kicking the ball out when they have a clear path to run. I wouldn't do these things, why do they?

Best guess is that their mentality is very defensive, though you aren't giving people much to work with.

I'm playing with Arsenal, 3rd season and I tend to play all out attack with only my defenders with a defensive mentality. I normally play the target man and I play my forwards to often make long shots, which is why this is so strange
