I am going to be having an operation on my foot and going to be off work for 6 months.

I thought that I might try to make a skin where do I start? Is there any helpfull resorces that I need to look at use?

It depends what you want to do really. A skin can be anything from something very basic that only changes the font size to a complicated beast that entirely changes the layout and appearance of the game.

The best way to learn is to take a copy of the "flexion" folder in the Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2007/data/skins directory and copy it to the My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager/skins directory and change the flexion folder name to something else and the flexion.xml file to match the folder name.

Then you are free to mess around without causing harm to your game.

I did a lot of html 5+years ago would you recomend learnig xml first?
