I posted this in another category but was advised to post this here as you guys are apparently the most knowledgeable about this...
I bought myself a new widescreen monitor today. I fired up FM2007 to see how it'd looked like.
It looked blurry and not right. I searched and found the --fullscreen_height=[N] and --fullscreen_width=[N] commands. I applied it (--fullscreen_height=1050 --fullscreen_height=1680 ) and it kinda worked. "Kinda worked" because although the game fills up the screen nicely, every text and graphic element is awfully small, and this makes the game nearly unplayable.
Does anyone have a trick to make text and graphics a bit bigger?
I already tried lower resolutions but the game does not fill the screen so it does not help. And playing with my face stuck to the screen is not very comfortable either
Thanks for your help!

Although not a solution, try going windowed mode and messing about with it from there, might work, good luck

On the FM icon, properties, amend the info in the Target field to read exactly :
"C Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\fm.exe" --fullscreen_width=1280 --fullscreen_height=800
1280 and 800 are the variables based on what your monitor can handle. Mine can go up to 1290x1200 but any higher than 1280x800 and the text is way too small.
Hope this helps.

I already tried both without much luck. I was hoping somebody had created a skin for widescreen monitors? Do you know if someone did?
Thanks!

I think you might need to wait until another patch appears as widescreen monitors aren't exactly the norm with most people yet!
I don't the programmers have programmed this into the game to take into account people with widescreen monitors....
As I said you might just have to wait until another patch comes out that supports widescreen monitors within the game...that is IF they code this into the game!

As my question is similar ill post in here.
I got a new flat screen, LCDTV Monitor, the Monitor Part is fine, but when i hook up my PS2, the graphics suck.
Anyone got any ideas, its all blurred and a few games seem a lil pixelated (ex. PES6 (which isnt a pixely game).

You just have to play in windowed mode tbh. If you must play in fullscreen, you'll have to adjust your screen properties in either the Ati or Nvidia display properties. There should be a tab to control how you want the screen to display when running games at lower resolution's. Iirc, fill to edge is the default, but you can set it to either centre or corner it if you want.
