The easiest way to do this is to download the DDT-generator at www.nerazzurri.net and to select the teams of which you want to retain the players (including regens). The generator then makes the file for you. I use it to select a few teams for each nation, so that you have enough different nationalities without having to many playable leagues.

There is also a thread somewhere in this forum that explains how you can have the 'huge database' option available as it was in previous versions, making more regens appear. You don't have to use DDT-files for this, but you don't get to choose at which clubs the players will appear. thread

I'm using a .DDT where i've loaded all nations first division from all over the world. But it's not enough regens, i'm in 2009 and the amount of players seems to have drop very much already. Not all of the teams that's loaded have regens and the teams only have two regens/year.

Hm.. if i use the .ddt and loads all players from a team that doesn't have players in the editor, will that make so that they generate regens?

Sorry if i go off-topic in your thread, it's a really great idea with these files and i'll be using them

That's a correct assumption. There will only be regens for a team that has enough players in the database at the start of the game.

Hm.. what i meant with the regens is.. If i take a team that doesn't have players at all in the editor, if i then loads all players from that teams, the game wouldn't load any players anyway, but will regens come from there?

Oh.. looked through your file over the Nordic countries and unforunately there's MANY wrong names there, by i quick look i noticed: Names that i don't think exist, Norwegian names (named as Swedes), names that should have å ä ö but don't have it and lastly "immigrant-names" mixed with Swedish names. The last one is something that's been noticed with the original regens. It do exist but are very rare, what would be better is to make some names that have "non-swedish" first AND second names instead, that's rare in the game but is very common in real life.

Noticed spelling mistakes in last message, i hope you understand.

And, i don't know if you've done this already, but you should add brothers into the game. Two persons born at the same day, and then you just say that they will go to the same club. Hm.. Is that possible to do? Or will things like birthplace and so on ruin it? Don't know how editable this is.
