| well if you're making chances but not finishing them then i guess its actually you're strikers, not the tactic. But if you're not making any chances then try either making the target man supply to head, feet, or run onto ball, whichever one you haven't used. Also, make you're team about 3 or 4 click more attacking

Seems to be a pretty decent tactic from the little I've used it.
Just to clarify, you set target man to be a tall guy and select 'To head' as his supply type? Because when you download the tactic it is set to 'Run onto ball'?
Also, is the tactic meant to be so attacking all the time? I find that particularly away from home, you often take a lead and I do the barrow like you say, but then the CPU team goes on the attack and can score 3 goals in about 15 minutes. I think this is down to the attacking mentality slider being 4 from all out attack? Is this right? It seems a pretty gung-ho way to play, particularly as you don't mention using counter attack or changing the mentality down at all?

first of all, yes change it to 'to head', i just forgot to change it back to that before i uploaded the tactic.
secondly, i dont really seem to have a problem with conceding, but if you do then i'd reccommend bringing the mentality down by about 3 or 4 clicks, time wasting up a bit and slow the tempo down

I don't know how to dl tactics, so why don't you just tell us more about this particular one, and some reasoning behind it? For example: how does your mentality framework look like?
I, for one, use wwfan's advice by putting them all attacking (including the gk) and gradually increase by one; i.e. gk=11, cd=12, fb=13, dm=14, ml/mr=15, am=16, fwds=17.
Or, if playing against a superior team, playing away from home, or if I'm winning, put them all defensive: gk=1,2,or 3, cd=2,3,or 4, and so on.
Now, I also try to find a good target man whom I put one notch less offensive than the other striker, and I put his forward-runs to minimum. The logic behind this is similar to what you already mentioned: he's supposed to 'flick' the ball to the running striker, so if he is a bit deeper this works much better.
In addittion, I have him hold-up-ball too, so he can pass a through ball to the running striker (not sure about this one though... what do you think?).
Now, you said you have one of your wingers being a playmaker (one or both?); does it matter which one it is--one on TM's side, or the other one?
Do you have them (wingers, full-backs) cross near-post, far-post, or mixed?
Please give us some details, as I think this approach is a really good one.
Thank you.

Hmmn so far it is working quite well. I was worried about teams going 4-2-4 against me to graba a goal but it actually seems to get me a goal instead.
I am concerned that it is a single tactic and the AI will work out how to play against it if I don't tweak it for away matches.
Did you not make any tweaks apart from the ones listed? How did the 2nd and 3rd seasons go?

Could you, please, upload your tactic into fileshare or some place else (not megaupload)?
Thanks in advance
