Yeah I do play pretty slowly, partly because I use a pretty old PC (my missus won't let me corrupt her precious new all singing and dancing laptop with FM!!!) and mainly having 2 young kids, you will find out soon I expect with the arrival of your 1st!!
I usually only get through about 6 or 7 games a night but I do tend to be pretty anorakish about things and think I do spend a bit too much time on non-playing things.....
Back to the tactic - yeah it's still holding up well, my last 3 games were Bolton (2-0) and a win over Fulham (3-0) followed by a 0-0 draw away to Roma in the champions league, so I'm quite happy with how things are going.

hehe im lucky in the fact I have the new pc and the wife has the old laptop - however I guess when she yupgrades I'll be in the same boat as you
Anorak in FM is good - more enjoyable and rewarding that way - I guess I have a systematic approach though which is geared around playing a lot of games - for instance, I limit the news to essentals, which saves many stoppages in the processing time.
Baby due in 5 months - gonna enjoy my indulgence until that point!
What signings did you make with Liverpool out of interest? Is this your first season?

Yeah make the most of your freedom while you can!!
This is my 1st season I restarted my last Liverpool game as my tactic was doing my head in and so decided on a new approach, I've mainly brought in youngsters as the Liverpool squad you inherit is pretty strong I find.
Brought in Guardado, Nsue, Cardenas (predictable I know but can never resist buying him!) Eddie Johnson and Lucas. Wish I had brought in some defensive cover though as I only have Carragher, Agger and Hypia and I'm not too sure about Palletta yet - will hopefully bring in a defender in the January transfer window.
Tonight I hope to get a good long session under my belt, armed with a large supply of cool lagers!!

Sounds good - I prefer just a few good signings to an army of kids - if you missed it in my notes - get your scout (with a high judging ability in potential) working europe - you can get lots of 5* 17/18/19/20/21 yr players for free that will come through in a year or two as good cover
Also watch for Klose he often becomes availabe on a free in the first season He always seemed to dawdle over contract negociation and you can nip in there, in my liverpool games,(I used to play liverpool a lot so Im aware of your set up)
Does sound like your sorted for the front line though
Watch out for Tallentire, DC - hes on my screenshots if the spellings wrong - and also Charles - they both blossom eventually into 15m defenders at 25yrs.
I got them both on free with my scout spotting them
Im also planning a big FM session tonight - if you ever fancied starting an additional game we coule perhaps play a network game? Ive never tried it before on FM

Cheers will keep a look out for those players you mention. Yeah I had Klose on my last game too, top signing for me he was - managed to get him on a free in my 2nd season from under the noses of the Mancs but sadly in my new game he's gone to Old Trafford for a cool £25 million....
I've never really fancied an on-line game personally, also my antique PC isn't connected to the internet any more (I usually post on here from work or my missus laptop!)

Sounds good - and out of curiosity - are you playing Finnan or is he a squad player? And are you using Garcia as a left winger? And do you play Riise in attack or behind?

Just downloaded it and tried it. I'm 5th season with WBA and have had some success so I have a pretty talented squad but have been going through a mid-season slump I have not been able to shake. First two matches with this tactic were a 2-0 win at West Ham and a 3-0 win at home vs. Tottenham. A lot more shot opportunities than my recent matches, although more opponent shot opportunities than I'd like. Great goalkeeper play and mostly off target shots kept the scoresheet clean.

| So far I've been mainly using Gonzalez on the left wing and he's playing well, a few assists, a goal and an average of 7.25 - Been using Garcia on the right as I'm not sure about Pennant really.
Bought Ratinho in pre-season and he has quickly settled in and made the right back spot his own so Finnan is cover at the moment, as for Riise been playing him as an orhodox left back but as you point out he works quite well a bit forward as he often plays left midfield IRL.....
Forgot to mention before I also signed Javier Arizmendi for Deportivo for £3.5 million so have to lose some strikers.
Hate to do it but will let Robbie leave when his contract runs out and am thinking of selling Bellamy, too many bleeding strikers!!
