Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Set Piece Approaches

How do you approach set pieces?

Does anyone take the time to create the perfect set piece tactics?

I haven't really gone into setting up free kicks and throw ins yet has anyone else?

I always make sure that I get my corners spot on. Normally with my best heading player on the front post and feed him when taking from the right then from the left i stick it into the 6 yard box then have my strongest striker challenging the keeper.

I would like to see who has got the most goals from corners etc

Free kicks don't really have enough options imo, I've tried a few but they don't really do much.

Corners I have a special tactic which sometimes gives a free header to a near post heading specialist, or a long shot to a lurker outside the box (hopefully free).

Like David I prefer near post flick ons on corners, to whom I assign my best header of the ball.

I also use the heading option on free kicks
