One thing that annoys me massively about the match engine is the clear bias about what action is shown on screen.

Late on in games if I'm ahead by one goal the AI switches to an all out attacking policy and the last 6 or seven minutes are displayed almost fully up until the final hooter.

If, on the other hand, I am behind by and go all out attacking, the screen goes off and just trickles out until full time.

I use the 'key' settings for the matches. Are there any tactical tweaks I need to make in order to get the match engine to show my side actually trying to score a goal?

Try changing the setting to Full match...esp for the first and last 15 mins. Then you can see what is happening.

My theory is that you are not creating chances because the AI has switched his tactics to prevent you scoring a goal.

When you are defending a slender lead late in the game, or just want to prevent the AI scoring late goal then you must employ similar tactics.

One tactic I use is to keep a fast striker on the bench. Bring him on to try and change the game.
