I played with tottenham for 1 year and got relegated, I tried a lot of tactics and none of them of works. do you have any suggestions?

Ive played many games with spurs and always found it hard to get a tactic to work beyond the mid season reshuffle. I have devised my own tactic which has bought me:

Season 1
1st Premiership - only 69 points though so was very low scoring year.
Won UEFA cup
Won League Cup

Season 2
2nd Prem - 88pts (same pts and goal difference as chelsea but they scored more)
Won FA cup
lost final in champs league
also Berbatov and defoe scoring 91 goals between them throughout the whole year.

All of this from one tactic (no home and away vsns).

I would like to test this more before i upload it as Ive never actually uploaded any of my tactics before but will try to get it on the forum by tonight\tomorrow.

i too manage spurs and usually manage a couple of trophies each season and a top 4 finish but i use wwfans and kristianhoors advice - 14 variations of a 4-4-2. I'd be interested in downloading your tactic!

Do you play version 7.2 and how many players do you buy/sell. I usually clear out about 10 and buy in 15+ over the first two seasons. But I'd love to try and compete with a realistic, true to life squad (except maybe for 2-3 decent left-sided players) as the chances of spurs signing half a dozen south american wonder-kids in real life are null. ha

I was only playing 7.0.1 until i developed my new tactic which seems to work pretty well and consistantly so am now on 7.0.2 again. I have just finished season 3 and have once agin finished 2nd behind chelsea (though im certain this is strength in depth required and not tactics) Won the CL final this year and lost FA cup against bolton (go figure)

From my opening season i always sign Vanden Borre and Adu (about 2.5m each) and alan smith. Unfortunately i do sell Robbie keane but with any transfer cash left i try and buy a good AMC as its required for my tactic.

Dependant on success over following seasons i go for Gamst Pederson as backup for ADU and Podolski can usually be got for a bargain on season 2/3 (great for linking up with berbs as the target man .

It scores plenty and concedes few (however sloppy they appear to be) lennon thrives in this formation. i did a count over the goals scored in the last 20 mins of a game for my last season (you know the AI gotta score thinggy) and here were my results

Spurs scored 36
Opposition scored 13

Keep me posted on how you do and ill try and offer any advice in regards to players and tweaking
