I am playing Hartlepool and in Prem. One odd thing I have noticed on the journey up is that if I hit something other than "no comment" prior to a match, my team almost invariably reacts badly and it "unsure," etc. This happens even at home when favored by a lot. Then, of course, I wind up having a bad time of it. I have basically decided not to talk to the press. Any thoughts?
Yes, I agree. I am also talking about the pre-match media question. If I ever answer anything other than "no comment," it always seems to affect me negatively. Anyone else?
i play in the enlish LLs and it is a mix, when i say that we have a chance to win or that we will win the next game, there are some players that always react positevly and others that always react negatively.

Yep, that's what happens on all lvls i have experienced. Some will be more motivated, some will be affraid. I just decline to avoid it all.

On the other hand, comments can work in your favour especially as a smaller team - I was taking nottm forest through the divisions, and in the early days when on a cup run, it got them pumped up for the big matches.
I also notive this now I'm a big club - the small teams go for me hell for leather, especially in the first half, and play beyond their ability.
I do ignore at times when morale is high, but I know some of my key players get fired up by saying we will win, so I go with that when the squad morale is low.
And I always pick on Wenger and Morinho since I personally dispise them
Another thing I do is when teams enquire about my players and I don't want to sell I just ignore it, since it takes longer time for it to be rejected automatically and for them to enquire again then rejecting directly, thus lowering the amount of enquires in the transfer windows and (I hope) not unsettling my players.
I always ignore comments to injuries. Its not a good thing to say that you suffer from that....? Or that the player will be missed... Or that you have him covered up...?
Anyways, I always comment before match, since in 90% of the time I am able to up the morale. Beside, its fun as well
