Short story: Am in my 2th seson with Man utd.
Hade a champions league match up but only 1 striker was fit for the match, so i tryed out someting new.. I took my best backup defender and made him targetman for the match..
Yake to considerasion that he hade played the first 8-10 matches as a defender before I started to use him as a targetman.
So his Stats are close to : 1 goal and 1 assist in every match, and Best player revard in every sec match..
Hope its to use for anyone out there.
PS. just want to say am sorry for my bad English..
I've done this quite often in my Juventus game, usually when Trezeguet picks up an injury (at least once a week), I throw Igor Tudor up front as he has very good heading and jumping stats.
I've got a regen Centre back called Jerome Da Costa who has 20 in all but 1 of the physical stats, plus a 20 for heading.
When I'm desperate for a goal or have no target men fit I often throw him up front. Obviously he causes havoc and wins all the headers and scores a few, he blatantly balloons the scoring chances that fall to his feet, so it's not a perfect approach. Perhaps a centre half with goods finishing and compsure stats would make a perfect target man?
Tim Cahill at Everton is also a more than adequate replacement target man. He very rarely loses a header.
Heinze is better on pretty much everyting.. heading , marking, jumping, str. he beat vidic with pretty much everyting.. download FMGenieScout and you will see for your self
