I am Preston in the EPL, after 10 games I have 3 points

I have a decentish team, players for basically every position.

So how would you play it? I am struggling and have no idea what to do, ive tried counter attacking, defensife mode, attacking mode, nothing is working.

While I dont expect to do a lot in the EPL I have a squad good enough not to finish in the bottom 3.

How would you play? I know you make different alterations depending on opposition or if you're home or away but just generally as I am stuck for ideas.

First of all make your defence solid. I would suggest having barrows on your fullbacks to stop the opposition getting in behind the defece. Play a deep bvack line and have your centre backs set to defensive and closing down rarely. The fullbacks i have as global team settings. This way i have only conceded 13 goals in Serie A in 1st season.

I would then set team settings to defensive and closing down on the first notch of often. Tick counter attack and just try to string a few results together no matter how scrappy.

The most important thing IMO is getting the defence sorted before anything else.

Default settings on the positions are quite useful. Use them on your players to get an idea what & where is wrong.

Many things in defense can be sorted out by lowering defense. Do you have FWR on your DC's? If so, set to rarely, and CF to 1. It might help to put passing on 20 (long balls) on your DC's & GK.

I tried those thing but nothing.

Its weird, I have saved the game and keep trying new tactics and going back to it if it doesnt work (This isnt a serious game), the first game after the save is Derby which I ALWAYS win whatever I play and then the next set of results are always the same too, i.e losses.

Seems whatever I try nothing works, its very infuriating.

if you play the whole match with one setting, you will not enjoy much success.

you have to listen what the AI does during match, and tweak yor team's setting, to counter the AI's changes.

That might be your problem, yo;'ve played 10 games and tried all these styles. Make one tactic, trust it and stick to it! If you don't trust yourself to make decent tactics, then download one. The best advice I can give is to let the team get used to your tactic.

No, Ive tried those styles after the 10 games and I play until end of season.

The previous 10 games I used the tactic I got promoted with.

Ok, Ive given up now.

Its weird tho because every tactic I tried and I always beat certain teams and lost to other teams, the results were nearly always the same in terms of whether I won, drew or lost, and in one particular instance I always THRASHED Millwall, not just beat but hammered by at least 4 goals without conceding....
