sorry for the double post. About team talks:
1. if your AM does them then he needs good Man Management, Motivation, Determination.
You do not need to have the same playing style preferences. This is good when the AM controls the reserves as back up players will feel comrotable with the tactics should you recall them in the first team.
2. I suggest you do team talks yourself though. It is unfortunately done using the trial-error approach but it is worth it. Just bear several things in mind:
- Read the Forum and get opinions and make up your mind how to approach team talks.
- Check regularly and remember how your players reacted to your team talks before.
- Sometimes you can afford to upset a couple of your players if this will fire up your star striker (or if you plan to bench them anyway

)
- bear in mind that team talks are not effective in the long run. they have effect on the coming match only. The only way to ensure good morale in the long run is to win games.
- team talks also have diminishing impact over time as you repeat the same thing over and over again...
- ALWAYS pay special attention to your new signings!!! Consider very carefully what to tell them. I usually tell them completely different thing than what I say everyone else - it also has different purpose - MAKE THEM FEEL WELCOME!
