Not sure if this is the right forum, but nvm im sure it'll get moved if it isnt.

What i wanted to know is has anyone else has problems with 'Managerial Discipline'? Half my team is complaining that i seriously lack it (whatever it is) Anyone know how to solve it or what it even is?

Have i been fiddling with tactics too much or something?

have you been complainning about ref's decisions after matchs, or criticising other managers/players? if sso, it can lead to this.


I do it all the time though, no point holding back

lol only a couple of times.. didnt realize it'd upset the players thou.. so iv just gotta shut up and it'll go away? OK, cheers

I too have this problem, I'm thinking maybe it's the team talks, or allowing my assistant manager pick the team.

i believe it's because one of your players should have been disciplined for sometihing and you didn't do antthig.

For example, a player got sent off in one match and the ass man didn's suggest anythig, so i apealed the ban instead of fining the player

Sigh.. you cant win If you tell them off they get upset and if you dont they complain about managerial discipline?

You can win

Dont criticise referees, discipline your players for unproffessional behavior and red cards and such through giving warnings and fines to persistant offenders you can keep the respect of your players.

Discipline also discourages the offending player from doing it again.

Be consistant as well, dont go fining players 2 weeks wages for their first red card and then leave another player until being sent off 3 times before warning him, thats not an AI thing(or at least not that i know of), just a pet hate of mine. :-D

I had that with two players but Owen got over it after a few days but Paul Scholes is still complaining about it after about two months which is pretty weird.

i have had no-one sent off yet but i get the same problem it must be in the team talks. managerial disipline first started to appear when i said in my team talk i expect a win a few times in a row so i use different team talks each time now and the problem hasnt reoccured so i think that its in the team talks.

I can't remember the last time Paul Scholes did NOT have this on his name. Ronaldo also has it.
