You can also try lessening the creative freedom aspect, I have seen some places that causes players to walk in too close to goal and baffle their shots if they think too much.

Wasn't really a fan of Villa last year, but I forgot about past experiences and gave him another chance in my Liverpool team this year.

He scored 2 on his debut, but then none in the next seven. Now he doesn't get in the team because Aguero and Torres are bang in form.

Starting to think already that Villa is going to be one of those players who looks good but doesn't fit into my system, and I'm not going to change a formation that works just to build the team around one man if it is fine the way it is.

Just drop him, when he gets back in the side he'll score. Do it all the time with Adebayor

i am playing with valencia and he scored 13 goals in 14 apps. he is probably just having a bad season or he doesnt fit in your team, althou it looks like he could fit in any team

Im playing Villa next to Pandev as my first choice and Villa scored 26 in 34 apps, and Pandev 22 in 29 apps, and with Van der Vaart behind then with 19 goals in 34 apps with 22 assit.
